THIS HOLY GROUND PRAYER WALL
A Sanctuary of Prayer

"Prayers are tools, but with this clarification:
prayers are not tools for doing or getting, but for being and becoming."

—Eugene Peterson

"

So we are drawn into prayer
not by obligation
or by need or by desire,
but by divine Love.
God seeking. God waiting.
God wooing.
God pursuing.
This emphasis upon the loving heart of God
seeking us out is, of course, drawing from
a long and deep biblical tradition about prayer."

- Richard Foster

Lord, hear our prayers!

“You’re familiar with the old written law, ‘Love your friend,’ and its unwritten companion, ‘Hate your enemy.’ I’m
challenging that. I’m telling you to love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer, for then you are working out of your true selves, your
God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best—the sun to warm and the rain to nourish—to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that."
- JESUS  (Matthew 5:43-47 MSG)

O Lord, You KNOW. Please help us navigate these new challenges with the Building and Planning Departments. We are certain You desired a place to meet with Your people - a place of rest and restoration in Christ Jesus. We thought we needed to provide a place for overnight guests, but maybe that is not what You envision; perhaps You have prepared a different way. Give us the hearts to keep waiting, to keep trusting, to keep believing. Give us hearts and minds to discern Your perfect will for This Holy Ground. Make us good witnesses to Your perfect love. You are faithful to "do this thing." Be our God. You know what we mean.

Thank you God for your goodness, all the time. I ask you to forgive me for trying to label what is good and what is not. I am thankful for my health, my family, my friends. But mostly I am thankful for You and your goodness,.

In Jesus Name, Amen.

Lord, You know! Let your love and mercy surround and enfold Doug and Patty. You know what they each need and You desire to be their fullness in Your great love. As you hear our prayers rising up from Your Spirit within and without, help us to bear witness with our lives to Your great love and mercy for Doug and Patty! Thank you for Your assurance that You are more than we can comprehend. You love us. Help us love with the heart of Jesus. We pray in His name, and by Your grace, in His power to save!

God’s girl

Please pray with me for my Momma - that she would be healed and restored in Christ; that His loving mercy would enfold her and bring her the comfort of His peace and presence as she is freed from the virus plaguing her. Amen!

Lord, hear our prayer, for Your Body of Christ on earth, that we would know that we are not lacking any gift - You, our God have been full of grace in Your steadfast love and faithfulness. Please continue to sustain us and help us live in and through Your indwelling presence. Let Paul's prayer of blessing and thanksgiving remind each of us who and how we are in Christ. Come, Lord Jesus - Save us again and again!

I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge— even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you— so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:4-9

Enter, Lord Christ–

I have joy in Your coming.

You have given me life;

and I welcome Your coming.

I turn now to face You,

I lift up my eyes.

Be blessing my face, Lord;

be blessing my eyes.

May all my eye looks on

be blessed and be bright,

my neighbors, my loved ones

be blessed in Your sight.

You have given me life

and I welcome Your coming.

Be with me, Lord,

I have joy, I have joy. - A Celtic Prayer from Northumbria

O Holy and Loving God, please hear our prayers for Your healing loving presence with Ada Pickett and all who love and care for her. Please strengthen and protect all Your beloveds "on the front line" and be especially merciful in those areas where the medical services are overwhelmed with people in need of care. You know - this pandemic has taken hold of so many people in so many ways and we continue to plead with You for Your saving act of mercy and restoration. We know You are our God who is Love, who has promised not to forsake us, and we know how much You so love all the world because we believe in Jesus Christ, in whose name, in whose heart, we pray.

Oh, Lord, You are so great and merciful! Your love and grace fill my soul!! I'm so grateful for all the blessings You have given me and often wonder if I'm truly worthy of Your love. But then another day begins, with all the wonderful miracles and beauty that You have created, then I feel secure and have total faith in Your love.

For every soul out there who is struggling, please fill their hearts with your Holy Presence and guide them with Your Holy Spirit so that they will understand and accept Your love and mercy. Please ease their suffering and fill them with hope and faith.

I ask this through Christ the Lord.

Amen
